New Showroom & Training Center for Cefla Medical Equipment

The brand new Showroom & Training Center dedicated to Cefla’s Medical Equipment Business Unit – located on the main Imola site in Via Bicocca – is now fully operational.

This new building, characterised by modern lines and an innovative look with large windows that overlook the motorway, was designed and built in full compliance with Building Automation criteria and occupies a total area of 3600 m2. The building is divided into two parts: the ground floor with the Showroom and Conference Area, and the lower ground floor with the Training Rooms.

The large elliptic hall that welcomes incoming visitors leads off to showrooms for the various Medical Equipment BU brands – Anthos, Castellini, Stern Weber, MyRay, NewTom, Mocom and BioSAFin – and the conference hall. The showrooms display the latest products and equipment, using carefully positioned ‘accent’ light fittings to highlight the outstanding technological characteristics of the key products.

The facility also houses a modern 80-seat conference hall (the capacity of which can be expanded). A latest-generation audio-video system and control room make it an ideal venue for events, whether held in person or via interactive on-line video conferencing platforms. Seamless multilingual management can be provided thanks to three simultaneous translation booths.

A spiral staircase leads from the centre of the entrance hall down to the Training Center on the lower ground floor, occupying a total area of 1900 square meters. Here, 8 hi-tech rooms feature video conferencing technology to provide interactive training on the medical equipment.

Throughout the building, cutting-edge technical solutions ensure both energy efficiency and the well-being of the persons present: more specifically, air conditioning and lighting systems have been embedded in sound-absorbing elements of the false ceiling to guarantee low noise levels and uniform ventilation.

Despite a challenging year on several fronts, we firmly believed in the value of completing infrastructure projects such as this”, comments Gianmaria Balducci, President of Cefla. “As we head into a period of ‘new normality’, we’re confident that having a first-class exhibition facility that can welcome existing and potential customers and a training center equipped with remote learning technology will give us a competitive edge as the economy bounces back.”

Building design and construction were entrusted to local partners: architectural-structural blueprints and works management were provided by Studio Associato di Ingegneria Edile TB, construction work was carried by Zini Elio srl, building systems were installed by Cefla’s own Engineering BU and the light fittings were supplied by Lucifero’s, a company specialising in architectural lighting.
