Fico (Fabbrica italiana contadina), the world’s largest agri-food park which opened in Bologna on 15th November 2017, entrusted Cefla with the design and completion of all the main systems at the facility, which covers over 100,000 m2 and aims to host six million visitors a year.

Through its Plants Solutions Business Unit, Cefla has designed and completed “turnkey” mechanical solutions for air conditioning, plumbing, drainage and industrial water supply systems; it has also provided general electrical power and lighting systems plus special safety systems. This “turnkey” solution also includes the provision of maintenance services at the facility, which houses restaurants, food production workshops, an auditorium with nearly 1000 seats and numerous hands-on play and learning areas. Begun in the spring of 2015, the works were completed at the end of October 2017, in compliance with the demanding schedule.
