Cefla is among the 100 Best Italian Excellences

President Balducci accepted the prestigious award at Palazzo Montecitorio.

DEC.23rd – President Gianmaria Balducci accepted the “Pine of Excellence” in Rome, which paid tribute to Cefla in the “multi-business companies” category. The award is given each year to 100 Italian excellences selected by an Honorary Committee, which was chaired this year by the Former President of the Court of Auditors, Raffaele Squitieri, and included among its members the film producer Aurelio De Laurentiis, the President of CONI, Giovanni Malagò, and Roberto Snaidero, the president of Federlegno Arredo and the Salone del Mobile of Milan. The ceremony was held in the Sala della Lupa at Palazzo Montecitorio, in the presence of diplomats and countless institutional figures. Those rewarded in their respective categories included 52 companies and 48 individuals, all chosen from the world of research, the State and armed forces, entrepreneurs and artists. The award’s aim is “to honour those who contribute to the growth of Made in Italy brands through their work and talent, making our country unique in the world for the good and the beautiful: from research to industry, from literature to art, passing through fashion, entertainment and tourism”.
The familiar faces that received awards included actor and director Michele Placido, designers Laura Biagiotti and Alviero Martini, National Anti-Corruption Authority President Raffaele Cantone and Chef Gianfranco Vissani. The following companies stood out: Graniti Fiandre, Gucci, Permare shipyard, Distillerie Bonollo and Cantine Ferrari. Each of the 100 excellences was given a pine cone carved out of Lecce stone that “symbolises the solidity of the work of those who build Italy while respecting the values that urge Italians to always aim higher”. The winning companies and individuals were also included in an elegant book published by Dell’Anna, which has got a targeted distribution in high profile, international-level tourist accommodations, as well as in institutional settings such as embassies and consulates.
