The Cefla Engineering BU and Mipu, a company that specialises in predictive techniques and artificial intelligence, have teamed up to develop engineering solutions that target the 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals.
Over the year, the two companies will release a series of free webinars illustrating how it’s possible to be both sustainable and profitable thanks to suitably designed or revamped plants. This Cefla/Mipu partnership demonstrates, in fact, that sustainability can bring both economic and environmental benefits.
The first webinar of 2023 – The Predictive Factory. Clean industry and the fight against waste – will take place on 27 April.
Here, the focus will be on the ‘predictive factory’, a plant where energy and maintenance costs are reduced via meticulous analysis of energy performance and the digitalization of maintenance tasks. Such plants are sustainable as they lower energy waste and optimise use of raw materials, helping to drive down CO2 emissions. The predictive solution created by the Cefla/Mipu team also brings social benefits, as workers are integrated into processes and receive close support as they perform their tasks.
The Cefla-Mipu roadmap envisages a situational study and a campaign to raise internal awareness on the subject of change. This will be followed by the implementation of C-Platform, a modular software platform that makes systems predictive and enhances the client company’s skills by incorporating them into AI.
