Cefla addresses business digitalisation at Oracle Cloud Day

The Oracle Cloud Day, the key event for digital transformation within companies and for the new frontiers of Industry 4.0, took place on 14th November in Milan.

It was a day on which Cefla was among the presenters during the session dedicated to “Experiences in the digital transformation of Finance & Operations processes.”

During the day at MiCo – Milano Congressi, a variety of meetings and conventions were held, which addressed the transformation taking place within organisations in the financial sector and the large supermarket chains, and the consequent operational changes required in work flows in order to achieve greater transactional efficiency. In this regard Alessio Monni, Cefla Order Management, illustrated the case of Elettrica Roma Nord, a consortium company operating in the Utilities sector (in which Cefla has a 51% interest).
Cefla was asked to integrate into the company’s work flow an Oracle ERP system for handling processes relating to finance, the purchasing cycle, sales reporting, cost accounting and work order management.

The project went live in 3 months together with a series of related services including warehouse goods inwards, the booking of invoices for goods and services and the handling of payment certificates.

The objectives included the implementation of a solution for enterprise resource planning using the Oracle Cloud ERP, the development of a bespoke application for the management of work orders to enable management control and finally, the implementation of a job and work order reporting platform using the Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Service.
