C-LED celebrates 10 years: innovation and record growth for Cefla’s hi-tech excellence
C-LED, a Cefla Group company specialising in the design and manufacture of electronic systems and customised LED solutions, is celebrating its tenth anniversary. This milestone comes at a time of extraordinary expansion, marked by a 48% increase in turnover in 2025 and an increasingly central role in the international industrial and Grow Light markets.
A story of vision and technology
Founded in 2016 as a spin-off from Elca Technologies, C-LED has successfully capitalised on the exponential evolution of LED technology. In just ten years, the company has established itself as a strategic partner for the development of highly technical applications, capable of harnessing the benefits of miniaturisation, energy efficiency and electrical safety.
“Ours is a recent story but one with deep roots,” says Mirco Berti, Subsidiary Manager at C-LED. “Today, our R&D department is the beating heart of the company: we invest over 6% of our turnover in research and global scouting to anticipate market challenges.”
The two Business Lines: Industry and Horticulture
C-LED’s success is built on two Business Lines that serve highly specialised sectors:
Industrial Business Line: beyond visible light
C-LED excels in the use of UV, NIR and SWIR (near and far infrared) wavelengths. Applications range from sanitisation to optical sorting:
• Industrial Sorting: Illuminators for machines that sort food (nuts, seeds) and recyclable materials.
• Sanitisation and Purification: Development of systems for the treatment of water, air and surfaces (reduction of volatile organic compounds, VOCs).
•Success Stories: The integration of PURE photocatalytic technology into camper van ventilators enabled a C-LED partner to win first prize for innovation at the Stuttgart trade fair in January 2026.
Grow Light Business Line: the future of indoor farming
The company combines expertise in lighting technology and agronomy to optimise plant growth in greenhouses and vertical farms. One example of the impact of this technology is the recent installation in Lombardy: a complex comprising five vertical farms fitted with 18,000 lamps and three greenhouses equipped with dynamic light spectra tailored to specific crops.
