Gianmaria Balducci, President of Cefla, was elected the new President of Legacoop Produzione e Servizi – Italian National Association representing production, work and services cooperatives – at the end of the assembly confirming his mandate on 27 October. He will stay in office for the next four years.
“The companies request investments and support for sectors experiencing most difficulties. The government has to set the economy on its feet again. I wish to thank Carlo Zini, outgoing President, for the work carried out, and I wish to thank the delegates for their trust. I shall do my utmost to deserve it. We face daunting challenges, the most important being that of giving companies a new perspective and goal.” – said Gianmaria Balducci, at the end of the meeting.
The Italian national association representing production, work and services cooperatives that are members of Legacoop counts almost 2,400 cooperatives. They actively conduct business in the construction, logistics, transports and industrial sectors, cleaning and integrated services, facility management and ecology, vigilance, services for cultural assets, catering, engineering and design, consulting and ICT, which combined together record a turnover of more than 16.5 billion euro and count a workforce of more than 150,000 employees.
