The ADS-R uses suitable materials which absorb the VOC contained in the air to be treated so that the resulting air released through the flue into the atmosphere falls within the standards laid down by the law.
The adsorbent materials are then automatically regenerated with low amounts of hot fluids which, loaded with VOC, are then treated – usually with the thermal oxidation system.
The advantage of this system is that it means high volumes of air can be treated at a reasonable cost.
