The inverted “V” plenum shape ensures better control of overspray, higher application quality and – last but not least- a cleaner machine at the end of the day; calibrated fun ensures better transfer efficiency, ultimately resulting in lesser coating and filters consumption. A brand new cleaning trolley guaranties perfect belt cleaning, maximum coating recovery, reduced cleaning maintenance and lower solvent consumption.

More: Mito can be equipped with a fast change guns trolley, including coating filter, for easy and safe colour change; a JIT device is also available, for small batches and reduced coating usage. Control board is integrated on machine side, thus ensuring highest system reliability.

The true innovation is the new “3D” line Cefla launched at Hannover last year. An effective automation of the process before and after the membrane press by means of:

• Target glue: a new high performance application robot with conveyor consisting of self-unwinding disposable paper - specifically designed for superior application accuracy, ensuring optimization and reduction of waste (at an affordable budget);

• Tarcut: an automatic PVC trimmer with visual scan, capable of trimming complex geometrical shapes, including external and internal frame edges;

• Twister: an effective trim recovery system which automatically fragments any type of trim and conveys it to containers for recycle;

• Smartclean glue: cleaning system by means of brushes for final removal of glue particles.

Thanks to significant progresses in technical design and software performance, UV-R oven can provide energy-resource savings which can reach up to 30% compared to traditional systems.

UV-R integrates in one module all process components: conveyor, UV lamps and an advanced PLC that controls all operations and diagnostics, with a user-friendly touch-screen programmer, allowing an easy management of all functionalities:

• the application of a control unit on transformer ensures efficient power management, enabling savings of about 10% compared to standard solid state supply;
• the electronic lamps control optimizes lamps power delivery and consumption according to the manufacturing flow: in case of a production gap  - with pieces not running on the line from a minimum of 2 sec (short stop) up to a maximum of 20 min (long stop) -  the lamps in the oven will automatically turn from the standard working power of 80-100 W/cm2 down to about 35 W/cm2; for stop times longer than 20min the unit will automatically switch off.

Test done so far on working painting lines show the following results:

-short stops: energy saving about 20%

-long stops: energy saving about 30%

To give a practical example, a traditional line with 12 UV lamps would have a power consumption of about 180.000 kWh/year. With UV-R oven in production at same conditions we would reach a power consumption range from 125.000 to 145.000 kWh/year – which means an Energy Saving potential from 35.000 up to 55.000 kWh/year.
