A special mention award for our purchasing & supply process

We were presented with a special mention award for our “Sviluppo Fornitori Strategici” (SFS – strategic supplier development) project on Friday 21st October at Italy's most important trade fair in the ICT industry: SMAU, held in Milan.
The aim of the Milan 2011 ICT Innovation Prize, organised by the Smau-School of Management in collaboration with ADACI – the National Association of Purchase & Supply Management – is to promote best case examples of companies that have successfully moved their business forward through the use of digital technologies.
Our case refers to the innovation project regarding the Purchasing Function and the redefinition of relationships with suppliers. The project involves three main stages, the first concerning appraisal, the second involving development and the third dealing with the integration of IT in the SRM - Supplier Relationship Management. The project was described as a “highly valid use of synergy and strategy in the various approaches to Information Technology in the support and integration of the previous stages”.
